Basketball Game Preview: Goshen RedHawks vs. Lakeland Lakers

Two dominant guards in Levi Sawatzky and Keyan Arroyo are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Goshen RedHawks will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeland Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Goshen earned a 62-49 victory over Plymouth.

Goshen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawatzky, who posted 23 points and four steals. The match was Sawatzky's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Karter Marcum, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lakeland didn't have too much trouble with Churubusco on Thursday as they won 52-34. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lakeland's record is now 11-6. As for Goshen, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Goshen came up short against Lakeland in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 61-56. Can Goshen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
