Basketball Preview: Greybull Buffaloes vs. Rocky Mountain Grizzlies

Greybull is 2-8 against the Grizzlies since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Greybull Buffaloes will head out on the road to take on the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Greybull is ranked 42nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 56th).

Last Thursday, Greybull was able to grind out a solid victory over the Rebels, taking the game 57-45.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-45 to Wyoming Indian. Rocky Mountain has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tucker Jackson, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lafe Files, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.

Greybull pushed their record up to 7-10 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Greybull beat the Grizzlies 42-35 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greybull since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
