Volleyball Recap: Temple Tigers vs. Villa Rica Wildcats
Temple unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Villa Rica Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Villa Rica to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamey Hennelly, who had ten digs and three aces. Those ten digs gave Hennelly a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillieanne Price, who had 15 digs and three assists.
Villa Rica has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Temple has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Haralson County on the 5th. As for Villa Rica, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against New Manchester on the 7th.
