Recap: Pine View Panthers vs. Dixie Flyers
After a string of seven wins, the Pine View Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 61-50 to Dixie. Pine View has not had much luck with Dixie recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Griffen Shepherd, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Nash Schroeder was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Kyle Lemke, who almost dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks for Dixie. Lemke is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Breckon Robinson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Pine View's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Pine View will head out on the road to challenge Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Dixie, they will be playing at home against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Snow Canyon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
