Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Goshen

The Concord Minutemen will head out on the road to square off against the Goshen RedHawks at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Concord is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Carroll on Saturday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 6-1. The defeat continues a trend for Concord in their meetings with Carroll: they've now lost nine in a row.

Concord's goal came courtesy of Brynn Weirich, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, Goshen kept a clean sheet against South Bend Adams on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. Goshen have beaten South Bend Adams the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest South Bend Adams has come to flipping the script.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Goshen, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Concord might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Goshen in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
