Basketball Game Preview: LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls vs. Everglades City Gators

After both having extra time off, the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls and the Everglades City Gators will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in LaBelle's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Everglades City has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

LaBelle came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Winter Springs by a score of 54-52 last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Everglades City came up short against Homestead last Saturday and fell 66-53. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 620th, while the Broncos are ranked 305th).

Everglades City now has a losing record at 5-6. As for LaBelle, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
