Basketball Recap: Canton South's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After losing to Tuscarawas Valley the last time they met, Canton South decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Canton South Wildcats secured a 40-34 W over the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tuscarawas Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Spencer Miller, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cole Kuykendall, who posted ten points.

The win got Canton South back to even at 3-3. As for Tuscarawas Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Canton South will head out to square off against Orrville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton South is facing Orrville at the right time seeing as Orrville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will challenge Indian Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
