Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merryville). They blew past the Oberlin Tigers 25-7 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Brooklyn Steward made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She also put up a walk, which was her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Merryville let Jolee Harrell and Leighlah Pruitt run wild. Harrell scored two runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Pruitt went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
