Softball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West lost against South-Doyle back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rebels fell just short of the Cherokees by a score of 4-3.

West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joli Bush, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Bush has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

West's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South-Doyle, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West will head out to face off against Webb at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South-Doyle, they will venture away from home to take on Sequoyah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Cherokees' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
