Baseball Recap: Raymond Victorious

While Raymond's win against Newport wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since April 16, 2025.

Raymond's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Jewitt, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory got Raymond back to even at 1-1. As for Newport, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Raymond is set to challenge their familiar foe Kearsarge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Newport will square off against rival Conant at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
