Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Raptors vs. Chatfield Chargers        
        
		
             Eaglecrest was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Chatfield Chargers by a score of  3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raptors of the  3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2023.
 Eaglecrest took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-19, 15-25, 25-23,  15-7.
 Despite the loss, Eaglecrest still got an impressive performance from   Sydney Moses, who  had 19  digs. With that strong performance,  Moses is now averaging an impressive 10.2  digs per game. Another player making a difference was  Adalyn Woodman, who  had 11  digs and three  aces.
 Even though they lost, Eaglecrest  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in September.
  Katelynn Shrum had a dynamite game for Chatfield,  getting 19  digs and two  aces. Shrum has been hot for a while, having  posted ten or more  digs the last nine times she's  played.
 Eaglecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Chatfield, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Eaglecrest has already played their next match,  a  3-0  loss against Fruita Monument on the 26th. As for Chatfield, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-2  defeat against Cherokee Trail on the 26th.
