The Burlington School extends home winning streak to eight

Recap: The Burlington School Spartans vs. Ravenscroft Ravens

The Burlington School Spartans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Ravenscroft as The Burlington School made off with a 77-53 win. Given The Burlington School's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Ravens are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Zion Walker, who scored 24 points along with five assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Flippen, who scored 15 points along with six assists.

The Burlington School's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.9 points per game. As for Ravenscroft, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

The Burlington School will head out on the road to take on the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ravenscroft, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
