Softball Recap: Biggs' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Biggs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hamilton Braves, sneaking past 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Gracie Sheppard spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Biggs' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Allie Little, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Biggs' win bumped their record up to 18-3-1. As for Hamilton, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Biggs has already played their next contest, a 13-7 victory against Portola on the 9th. As for Hamilton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 24-4 win against Maxwell on the 6th.
