After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Junction City, Gladstone was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Philomath Warriors. The Gladiators' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Philomath, they moved to 6-2-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Gladstone will square off against Madras at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Gladiators their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Philomath, they will challenge Sweet Home at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.82 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
