Volleyball Recap: Garretson Takes a Loss

Garretson lost against Dell Rapids back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Dragons came up short against the Quarriers, falling 3-0. The Blue Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Garretson may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 13 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-13.

Brenna Smith paced Garretson's offense, picking up four kills. Smith got some help from Vivian Johnson and her seven assists.

Alaina Wolff was the offensive standout of the contest as she had six digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Garretson's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Dell Rapids, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Garretson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Chester on the 25th. As for Dell Rapids, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Flandreau on the 25th.
