Softball Recap: Clear Fork Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Clear Fork's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Highland on Friday. The Colts came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northmor Golden Knights, sneaking past 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Presley Lilly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Katrina Rogers was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Hailly Thrush was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Clear Fork's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Northmor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Fork will take on Upper Sandusky in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Northmor, they will host Galion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
