Recap: Madison Mustangs vs. Riverside Panthers
The Madison Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverside. Madison has not had much luck with Riverside recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Riverside found their leader in underclassman Jack Cupples, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Harralston, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Madison bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Riverside, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison will play host again and welcome Liberty Tech Magnet, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Tech Magnet has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotts Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotts Hill will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
