Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakeland). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Turner Lions a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won five matches in a row.

Wakeland pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Turner, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
