Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cushing Bearkats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 50-35 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cushing, they moved to 14-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carlisle will square off against rival Overton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cushing is set to challenge their familiar foe Alto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
