Softball Recap: Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday, Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian came back down to earth. The Flying Dutchmen lost 8-2 to the Wabasso Rabbits on Tuesday. The Flying Dutchmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wabasso, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian will welcome Murray County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wabasso, they will challenge Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Rabbits will no doubt try to take advantage of.
