Football Recap: Fayette County Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Fayette County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the McIntosh Chiefs on Friday, falling 42-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

McIntosh had a senior duo take command as Elijah Strader threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes and Brandan Ridley gained 157 total yards and three touchdowns. Skip Smith was in the mix as well, providing the Chiefs with two TDs.

Fayette County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-0 defeat against Warner Robins on the 21st. As for McIntosh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 35-7 loss against Sandy Creek on the 22nd.
