The El Camino Wildcats will face off against the Calexico Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (El Camino 3.3, Calexico 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
El Camino's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Vista with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Brooke Stark made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Stark was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Kailey Dain was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makayla Boone, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
El Camino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Calexico has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against Santana, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
El Camino is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Calexico, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
El Camino suffered a grim 20-4 defeat to Calexico when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
