Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Triumphs

Shady Spring won the last time they faced Bluefield and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Beavers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Shady Spring took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10.

Alivia Stover paced Shady Spring's offense, picking up nine kills. Stover got some help from Reagan Mann and her 12 assists. Mann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Shady Spring's record is now 30-11-1. As for Bluefield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-19-1.

Coincidentally, Shady Spring and Bluefield will both be playing Greenbrier West the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Beavers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
