Softball Recap: Langley Saxons vs. McLean Highlanders        
        
		
            
 Langley fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against McLean  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the McLean Highlanders by a score of  9-7. It was the first time  this season that Langley let down their fans at home.
  Caitlin Hohenthaner was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lauren Kim, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Langley's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-1. As for McLean, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record  this season.
 Langley will be playing in front of their home fans against George C. Marshall at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Langley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9  runs per game  this season. As for McLean, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Yorktown at 6:30  p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
