Basketball Recap: Ardsley Panthers vs. Rye Garnets
In what's become a running theme this season, the Ardsley Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Rye 66-43. Ardsley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ardsley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iva Corluka, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and five assists. Corluka hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Dylan Paley, who scored 15 points.
Ardsley's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Rye, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Ardsley will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Edgemont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while the Panthers are ranked 53rd). As for Rye, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
