Soccer Recap: Skowhegan Comes Up Short

Skowhegan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Bangor Rams. While losing is never fun, Skowhegan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Bangor are ranked 35th).

Skowhegan's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bangor, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skowhegan will square off against Oxford Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Skowhegan will be up against Oxford Hills' rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.63 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bangor, they will face off against Camden Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
