Griffith Institute won the last time they faced Tonawanda and things went their way on Thursday too. The Griffins blew past the Timberwolves 23-7. Considering the Griffins have won three matches by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Griffith Institute let Kierstin Crone and Grace Ricci run wild. Crone went 4-for-6 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI, while Ricci went 3-for-6 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Crone also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Erin Baker, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Griffith Institute and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Tonawanda, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griffith Institute will host Eden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Griffins are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
