Senior guard led Clackamas to the Class 6A state championship game.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Jazzy Davidson of Clackamas is the 2024-25 Oregon MaxPreps Player of the Year. A three-time recipient of the state's highest honor, the 6-foot-1 senior guard led the Cavaliers to a 27-3 record and the Class 6A state championship game.

For the season, Davidson averaged 29.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.6 assists per game.

Davidson shined on the big stage as a senior, scoring 35 points against nationally-ranked Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) in an overtime loss, 26 in the state quarterfinals and 38 in the semifinals.

A finalist for the MaxPreps National Player of the Year, Davidson has been selected to participate in the McDonald's All American Game and Nike Hoops Summit.

Regarded as the No. 3 prospect in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports, Davidson signed with USC in November over offers from LSU, Oregon, Oregon State, South Carolina, Stanford, UCLA and UConn.

Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released in April. Past selections include 2024 WNBA Most Valuable Player A'ja Wilson (2014) as well as 2024 All-WNBA first team picks Caitlin Clark (2020), Napheesa Collier (2015), Breanna Stewart (2012) and Alyssa Thomas (2010).
