Volleyball Recap: East Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Leilani Lusia and Adrielle Breen

East Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Clemens Buffaloes. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Buffaloes from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20.

East Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Adrielle Breen, who had 11 digs and one assist, and Leilani Lusia, who had 15 digs, 12 kills, and one block. Lusia is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Rebecca Jubela, who had 20 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Clemens, their record now sits at 14-18.

Coincidentally, East Central and Clemens will both be playing Judson the next time they take the court. The Buffaloes will head out to face the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
