North Mecklenburg had won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they bumped up to 4-0 to make it 12. They really took it to the Hough Huskies for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-30 win. Fans of the Vikings have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hough fell to 4-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since February 7th.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Puskarich, who posted four points. Puskarich has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Looking ahead, North Mecklenburg will head out to square off against East Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hough, they will host Porter Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies' defense better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 59.2 points per game this season.
