Basketball Recap: Marion Has No Trouble Against Edisto

Marion won against Calhoun County on Friday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Marion Swamp Foxes ended the year with a bang, routing the Edisto Cougars 59-34. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Swamp Foxes this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jameir Legette, who posted ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Charles White, who had 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Edisto, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-42 win against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on the 30th. As for Edisto, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-30 victory against Allendale-Fairfax on the 3rd.
