Basketball Game Preview: Cedarville Pirates vs. Lamar Warriors

Cedarville is 0-7 against Lamar since November of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Cedarville Pirates will be playing at home against the Lamar Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Cedarville came up short against Paris and fell 49-41. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lamar entered their tilt with Lavaca on Thursday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They blew past the Golden Arrows 57-24. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Golden Arrows are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lamar is also on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. As for Cedarville, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
