Soccer Game Preview: Highland vs. Lancaster

The Highland Bulldogs will take on the Lancaster Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lancaster took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Highland, who comes in off a win.

Highland's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Antelope Valley by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Knight. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-2. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6-1 record this season.

Everything went Highland's way against Lancaster in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Highland made off with a 4-0 victory. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Lancaster have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
