Soccer Game Preview: Fort Walton Beach vs. South Walton

Fort Walton Beach is 1-8-1 against South Walton since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Fort Walton Beach Vikings will be playing at home against the South Walton Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Fort Walton Beach's offense. They came up short against Pace on Friday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, South Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-1 to Niceville. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Eagles are ranked 57th).

South Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fort Walton Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Fort Walton Beach came up short against South Walton in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Fort Walton Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
