Volleyball Recap: Royse City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Royse City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Rockwall Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Royse City was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

Rockwall had a senior duo take command as Audrey St. Clair had ten digs and three aces and Olivia Clayton had 14 digs and one assist. St. Clair has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Royse City's loss dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Rockwall, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Royse City is set to square off against their familiar foe North Forney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rockwall will face off against rival Tyler Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
