Softball Recap: Colonial Heights Takes a Loss

If Colonial Heights was feeling good fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Petersburg on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colonials came up short against the Nottoway Cougars on Monday, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 back in March.

Colonial Heights has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Nottoway, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Colonial Heights by a score of 16-5 later that day.
