While Mankato East put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Red Wing. The Cougars put the hurt on the Wingers with a sharp 7-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Mankato East's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Red Wing, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Mankato East will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wingers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
