Baseball Recap: Plattsmouth Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Plattsmouth entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Varsity Opponent a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since May 3, 2025.

Levi Walker was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Deacon Finn, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Plattsmouth now has a winning record of 6-5.

Varsity Opponent wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 11th.
