Football Game Preview: Calhoun City Wildcats vs. West Lowndes Panthers + Official Tickets

The Calhoun City Wildcats will face off against the West Lowndes Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Calhoun City's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Vardaman, posting a 54-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Demarious Pittman had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaylon Jackson, who rushed for 69 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Lowndes). They claimed a resounding 50-12 victory over Okolona. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

West Lowndes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trence Robertson and Christopher Elder.

West Lowndes now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Calhoun City, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
