Basketball Recap: Globe Comes Up Short

Globe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-42 defeat at the hands of the Willcox Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Cowboys are ranked 115th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willcox to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedy Ebert, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ebert a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Globe's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Willcox, their record is now 14-6.

Globe has already played their next matchup, a 48-36 victory against Apache Junction on the 23rd. As for Willcox, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-38 defeat against Morenci on the 23rd.
