Volleyball Recap: Pinelands Regional Extends Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pinelands Regional walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Seneca Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches in a row.

Pinelands Regional never let Seneca on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 27-25, 25-16.

Pinelands Regional's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayda Quigley, who had 22 digs, eight kills, and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Quigley a new career-high in assists (three). Chloe Tucker was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Pinelands Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Pinelands Regional's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Seneca, they moved to 14-5 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-match winning streak.

Coming up, Pinelands Regional will welcome Holmdel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
