Bishop Moore entered their tilt with Lake Nona on Wednesday with ten consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Bishop Moore took Lake Nona into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-13, 26-24, 22-25, 15-13.

Kaylee Winkler paced Bishop Moore's offense, picking up 17 kills. Winkler got some help from Camila Valenzuela and her 34 assists. Valenzuela was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lake Nona's loss came despite strong showings from Sophia Ocasio and Leilany Starling. Ocasio had 12 assists and five digs, while Starling had five digs and three aces.

Bishop Moore's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lake Nona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Bishop Moore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Montverde Academy on the 28th. As for Lake Nona, they will challenge Mount Paran Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
