Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Northwestern couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They and the Raines Vikings were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered a 23-22 loss. The Bulls' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Tadarius Washington produced another solid performance rushing for 59 yards, while also catching one score for Raines.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Raines, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
