Softball Recap: UMS-Wright Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

UMS-Wright Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt LeFlore on Tuesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

UMS-Wright Prep got a massive performance out of Emma Trawick, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Trawick has posted since back in April of 2025. Parker Abston was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

The victory was the third in a row for UMS-Wright Prep, bringing their record up to 6-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for LeFlore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, UMS-Wright Prep will look to defend their home field on Thursday against St. Paul's Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. As for LeFlore, they will venture away from home to take on Davidson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
