Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for O'bannon

O'Bannon strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Wilkinson County Wildcats 34-8. While the Greenwaves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

O'Bannon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamychael Williams, who threw for 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 35 yards. Darren Seals was another key back, rushing for 113 yards on only ten carries.

O'Bannon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Kameron Jones led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself. Landyn Winters got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

O'Bannon's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wilkinson County, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

O'Bannon has already played their next contest, a 28-20 loss against South Delta on the 26th. As for Wilkinson County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 37-14 defeat against Sacred Heart on the 26th.
