Volleyball Recap: Abri Lopez Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts

Hood River Valley's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hood River Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abri Lopez, who had 13 digs and three aces. Lopez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lylah Hunter, who had nine digs and three aces.

Hood River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Hood River Valley will take on Hillsboro at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
