Meanwhile, Sacred Heart of Jesus came up short against St. Benedict at Auburndale on Monday and fell 59-52.
The losing side was boosted by Ron Brison, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Bell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Carroll Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Carroll Academy was taken down by Sacred Heart of Jesus 74-23 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can Carroll Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
