Softball Recap: Tyler Legacy Takes a Loss

Tyler Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Rockwall Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

Tyler Legacy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Tucker, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Tucker's first of the season.

Tyler Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Rockwall, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tyler Legacy will square off against rival Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rockwall is set to challenge their familiar foe Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
