Basketball Recap: Panhandle Christian Home Educators Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Panhandle Christian Home Educators finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were beaten by the Red River Rattlers 77-29. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Corban Tyler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Red River, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine steals. Tyler's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Crecelius, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Panhandle Christian Home Educators' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-5. As for Red River, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panhandle Christian Home Educators will square off against Goodwell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Red River, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Heritage Christian Athletics at 7:45 p.m. on February 13th.
