Baseball Recap: Kingsburg's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Immanuel last Friday, Kingsburg came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Cavaliers since May 28, 2021.

Travis Clifton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, King Rodriquez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Kingsburg's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Central Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
